Bruce Chard Permit Choker Crab
Time: 15-20 minutes
Imitates: shrimp, crab, ambiguous/something tasty
Target species: bonefish, permit
Where to fish: flats
Notes: It is important to use this SC15 as it allows you to tie the craft fur on the bend of the hook. This gives the fly a craft fur wing that aids in the falling/parachute action of the fly. The deer hair can be a little ticky to work with. Keep your finger pressed against the hook and to stop the material from rolling off on the side.

About the fly:
This fly has been proven deadly in the keys as a popular permit pattern. Brought to the scene by Bruce Chard, this pattern falls in a way the fish can’t resist. As this fly falls in a parachute style with craft fur, legs, and hackle claws upright – the fish reaction is normally ferocious.
