How To Tie: Gummy Minnow | Everything Eats A Baitfish
Imitates: glass minnow/fry/small baitfish, pilchard/whitebait/medium baitfish
Target species: tarpon, snook, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, peacock bass, rainbow trout, brown trout, false albacore, blackfin tuna, dolphin (mahi), mackerel, barracuda, seatrout, sailfish, jack crevalle, bluefish
Where to fish: backcountry, intracoastal/inland bays and waterways, warmwater lakes/ponds/rivers/canals, bluewater/offshore, surf
Notes: This is a multifunctional fly great at so many things. Use this fly to fish the beach all summer long, throw it in freshwater lakes to catch largemouth and peacocks. Snook and baby tarpon in backwaters creeks can't resist this thing passing by their face. Don't forget offshore.. Tied scaled up to a 2/0 and a larger pattern this is a DEADLY mahi-mahi, albacore, and tuna fly.

About the fly:
This is a versatile pattern to throw year round for tons of different species. It’s not the hardest pattern to tie once you get the hang of things either. One of the biggest positives about this fly is just how durable they are. Even offshore with fish like dolphin and mackerel tearing at it, it will still go for multiple fish!
