How To Tie: SF Bendback Baitfish
Imitates: pilchard/whitebait/medium baitfish
Target species: tarpon, snook, false albacore, blackfin tuna, dolphin (mahi), mackerel, barracuda, seatrout, jack crevalle, bluefish, striped bass
Where to fish: bluewater/offshore, surf
Notes: Perfect for beach snook fishing in summertime. Tied in a tan over white color for early-season beach fishing to imitate a croaker, this is a deadly pattern. This fly is perfect when there is seaweed/sargassum off the beach. The bend-back tie allows you to "snake" this fly through the weeds and have a large likelihood of not grabbing debris.

About the fly:
This fly was created with beach snook in mind but also holds its own as an offshore/nearshore deadly pattern for a ton of pelagic species. With easy water-shedding material and a good amount of flash, this pattern is sure to get the bite.
