The design
These Scissors are made in Italy of high-quality stainless steel. Specifically made with the fly tier in mind. Enrico had these produced to his exact specifications. These scissors are ideal for synthetic material, especially, EP fibers; but not limited to super hair, bucktail, SF blend, and many others. The blades on these have incredible edge-retention for longevity. One blade is made with the finest micro-serrated individual blades giving it a perfect grip to prevent slipping of material but not too large where it prevents sharpness. The smooth edge is razor-sharp providing a clean precise cut every time.
The finger holes on these lean on the smaller size and I wouldn’t recommend tying with them in the hand.
The intended use would be a specific pair to trim a perfect baitfish or streamer pattern. The 6.5-inch model is incredible at trimming larger flies. It allows you the capability to make long single cuts evenly every time. Flies like the EP peanut butter and perfect minnow would benefit tremendously in the trimming process.
