The Golden Gotcha is our twist on one of the world’s most proven bonefish flies. The Gotcha catches bonefish everywhere from the Indo-Pacific to the Bahamas, Belize and Mexico. A good customer of ours who frequently fishes the Abacos reported that the fish reacted better to the gold mylar and eyes than to the standard pearl and silver, so we stuck with it.
The Golden Gotcha in the video is tied with bead chain eyes for skinnier water and can be tied with I-Balz or brass eyes for deeper water.
