Simms Guide Plier Review

Simms Guide Plier Review

Complete with rod racks, fly tying table, and paddle board, is the envy-inspiring Simms bus. The man behind the wheel is Dave Chouinard of Simms Fishing Products. Dave is an avid fly fisherman himself and is extremely passionate about the gear he showcases.

In this installment of the Simms Bus Series, we’ll take a closer look at the new for Fall 2017 Simms Guide Plier. We love watching products evolve into better versions of themselves and Simms did just that with the transition from the Simms Pliers to the Guide Pliers. With the center ring for comfort and the nearly indestructible anodization, Simms kept the foundation of their quintessential fishing tool and added some new features that go hand-in-hand with their mission of making the gear that anglers and guides who demand the best will use day in and day out. Included in these new features are stronger jaws, slimmer handles, tungsten carbide cutters, bottle opener/knot tension tool and a groundbreaking new Kydex sheath impervious to mold and salt.
