Big fish eat little baits
The EP Perfect Minnow is a slender profile baitfish pattern that can be used in situations when there are small baits present. The head is a bit bulkier then then other small EP flies so it pushes a bit more water to attract predators. We use it on the beach and dock lights for Snook and offshore for Pelagic species like Ablies or Dolphin. Works well on Bass and South Florida exotics too. Tied on a stout Gamakatsu SL11-3H.
Question
John Ritchey –
I have bought a number of EP saltwater flies from you. Can you tell me what the “SP” designation means? For example – EP Everglades SP or Gulf Coast SP or Amazon SP?
Thanks,
John Ritchey

SP is just short for “Special”. So if you’re talking to someone and they recommend the “Everglades special fly”, they’re referring to the EP Everglades SP.
