The spun deer hair lets this fly sit very high on the water and makes a nice big Ka-Plunk style pop on the surface grabbing the attention of fish from far distances. This lure is great around lily pads and weeded areas, as it sits high on the water and is not prone to get caught. When twitched, a nice “bloop” really attracts the fish in the area… down in South Florida, this bug also catches the eye of some gar and gators!
