Inspired by the Animas River in southwest Colorado, the engineering and design of the Ross Animas has made it a go-to fly reel for fresh and saltwater. A custom two-tone anodized finish and solid aluminum frame components make the Animas strong & durable. The low start-up inertia on the powerful drag system protects light tippets and slows blistering runs. The large arbor then helps you retrieve all that line and backing that was just peeled off.

The porting on the single piece spool makes the Animas a lightweight accessory to modern fly rods. The Animas also wields Ross’s first ever fully-anodized machined aluminum handle with a reverse taper for increased control and excellent grip.
