Flashy colors to draw attention from predators
Similar to his Laser Dub, fly designer Greg Senyo went a little more flashy for his Senyo’s Fusion Dub. The blend substitutes a little bit of the bulk for a bunch more flash. Not only can you use Fusion Dub as traditional dubbing for Steelhead and Salmon flies, but the longer length allow you to pack and spin heads similar to wool-head flies. Tie in the middle of a clump of dubbing that encompasses the hook, pull back the forward facing fibers and take jam wraps in front. After a few bundles like this, comb it out to blend and attach your eyes with Loctite. This method makes killer baitfish patterns for fresh and saltwater.
