About these metrics

Imitates: pilchard/whitebait/medium baitfish

Target species: false albacore, blackfin tuna, dolphin (mahi), mackerel, barracuda

Where to fish: bluewater/offshore

Notes: Made for larger pelagic fish such as, dolphin, tuna, kingfish, wahoo, sailfish, and more. (Mike P): I use this pattern with a 10 weight and Rio T-11 7-8Ips sinking fly line. Most of our fish hangout around the 100-400 feet of water off the ledge in South East Florida. I'll use this fly while chucking with chum and dredging this pattern. I like to target the black fin tuna and Wahoo, so I let this fly get down to around 60-70 feet before stripping it back in.

About the fly:

This pattern has a thin large profile to aid in it getting down deeper quicker where the fish live.
This is an extremely durable pattern with the synthetic material, flash and softex. Big eyes allow the predators to find this fly even in the darker, deeper water.
