The 6 weight for spooky tailing redfish and for baby tarpon. The Sector is an accurate, smooth casting rod that presents the fly with precision and accuracy! Delicate enough to make a presentation to a redfish in an inch of water, and plenty of power for such a light rod.
The 7 weight for bushwhacking the mangroves for baby tarpon and average size snook, as well as for outfront redfish. The 7 weight size offers so much versatility just on the slightly "more fun" size. The Cobalt rod is very forgiving and it loads high in the tip for accuracy shooting the mangroves and sight fishing the flats.
8 weight is the most all-purpose rod size for the backcountry. The Salt R8 is an excellent all-purpose fly rod. It has the feel, accuracy, power, and finesse to do everything from land a crab fly on a tailing redfish’s head to pulling a big snook out of the mangroves.
The 11 weight is for big tarpon. The NRX+ T2S is an absolute cannon with the pulling power of a semi truck… This rod launches big backcountry tarpon flies with intermediate lines. After the bite this rod has the backbone to control a big tarpon’s head in a super currenty river. If you can’t afford the luxury of a 2 piece, the NRX+ 4 piece will get the job done.
