The new Lamson Cobalt Saltwater Rod is the redesigned Lamson Standard Seat, now the cannon AKA the Cobalt. Cobalt rods are built on a hyper-fast blank crafted to deliver blistering line speed and wind conquering loops, with enough flex in the tip and mid-section to allow you to feel the action load but plenty of muscle down deep to pick up that 70 feet of line for a quick re-cast. The completely redesigned reel seat allows reels to sit on “rails” and keep the reel locked down and sturdy. One of the main problems of tarpon rods is the lacking department of a locking reel seat, not anymore. The gray blank allows you to blend in naturally with a cloudy sky and to reduce shine so spooky fish don’t react.
