EP is an abbreviation for Enrico Puglisi. He is the creator of the fly, and the material “EP Fibers” used in the fly.

I am confused on the size. Is it truly a #6 (roughly 3/4″ shank)? Going to use a 5wt with a 2x tippet. Hard to find a #6 shrimp.

Hi Chris, the hook shank is 7/8″ long. It’s a #6 Gamakatsu L11-3H hook, (same as SL11-3H but in black)
