The main body of the RIO Light Saltwater Shock Leader is made of a stiff nylon with a stiff butt section that tapers down to 16 lb for casting big flies. The end of the leader is hand tied to a tough fluorocarbon shock tippet section that protects the leader from teeth, gill plates and spines.

The RIO Light Saltwater Shock Leader is ideal for snook, small tarpon, and other species that have the assets to destroy leaders.
