While the Litespeed was already one of the most influential, functionally sound reels in it’s class, the 5th generation Lamson Litespeed G5 takes it to the next level through innovative engineering and tinkering. The results are a stiffer, stronger frame with a narrower, larger diameter spool for a higher line retrieval rate. Despite strengthening the reel, The Litespeed G5 is still lighter than the previous generation thanks to material reduction and narrower drag unit. Narrower doesn’t mean less when talking drag systems, the G5’s sealed drag system is as strong and smooth as ever. An integrated drag cassette for a stiffer frame structural design.
