The new for 2017 Abel Super 12W takes what the Abel Super Series has always been known for – silky smooth premium cork drag system united with a super strong aluminum frame – and modernized it. With new contemporary porting, the Super Series is now lighter to balance modern rods. The arbor is larger for better line pick-up, and the quick-change spool system eliminates the old lock nut and draw bar to unify the reel and simplify spool swaps.

With the drag system smooth enough to protect the lightest tippet and powerful enough to stop the toughest fighters, there’s a Super Series reel suited for everything from spring creeks to bluewater. The 12W is made wider to hold the backing needed to stay connected to tunas, billfish, GTs, sharks and other brutes infamous for dumping reels.
